MotionInput Football Practice kicks off on the Microsoft Store
Published on 13 July 2026

A new accessible sports game developed through the ongoing collaboration between our charity’s Sybil Elgar School, University College London (UCL) Computer Science and MotionInput Games, and is now available to download for free from the Microsoft Store.
MotionInput Football Practice has been designed for autistic and neurodivergent players and uses webcam-based motion tracking, allowing players to interact through physical movement rather than a mouse, keyboard or controller. The game continues the innovative work already underway between UCL, MotionInput Games and our charity’s schools to make technology and gaming more accessible.
Students and staff at our Sybil Elgar School have been involved throughout the wider UCL Industry Exchange Network programme, helping to test ideas, provide feedback and explore how touchless computing can support engagement, participation and accessibility. Earlier MotionInput titles, including Superhero Sportsday and MotionInput Watersports, were also developed in collaboration with our schools and released on the Microsoft Store last year.
The latest release arrives just as excitement builds around the FIFA World Cup 2026. According to feedback shared following the release, early testing has shown the game working successfully, with staff preparing to use it with students during the coming weeks.
Christina Loutsi, ICT teacher at Sybil Elgar School, said: "With the excitement of the football season all around us, this game has given our students the opportunity to be part of that excitement in an accessible and engaging way."
The game is available to download free from the Microsoft Store and represents another milestone in a collaboration that focuses on making mainstream technology more accessible for autistic people.
