Our Student Support Service provides high‑quality, Non‑Medical Personal Help (NMPH) for autistic students at universities and colleges across Scotland. We offer specialist mentoring, in-class study assistance and study skills support.
Our team of highly skilled Student Specialist Mentors focus on individualised, autism-specific mentoring support to enable students to realise their full potential within an often challenging environment. We take a person‑centred approach, tailoring support to each student’s needs and preferences.
We can offer in-class support for students who require a Study Assistant when they attend college or university. Many of our mentors are qualified to deliver 1:1 Study Skills Support.
For over twenty years, we have supported autistic students in higher and further education. As part of the National Autistic Society Scotland, our mentors receive specialist training and benfit from working for an organisation committed to creating a society that works for autistic people.
Autistic insight is central to the development of the service and the approach it prioritises. Many of our mentors are autistic and themselves benefitted from mentoring when attending university.
