Terms and Conditions for Service Registration on the Autism Services Directory

1. Purpose of the Directory
The Autism Services Directory is a public resource provided by The National Autistic Society (NAS) to help autistic people and their families find relevant, accessible, and autism-informed services. Inclusion in the Directory does not constitute endorsement or accreditation by The National Autistic Society unless explicitly stated.
2. Eligibility and Accuracy

You confirm that your service is designed to support autistic people and/or their families.

You confirm that your service ascribes to our organisational mission, vision and values.

You confirm your service meets any relevant legal and regulatory requirements associated with their provision, including data protection, and have key company policies in place.

You confirm your service provides an ongoing service (ie not a one-off event).

You confirm your service has a website or social media link to allow autistic people and their support networks to research and appraise the services offered on the directory.

You can confirm your service does not purport to ‘cure’ autism, link autism to vaccines or portray autism in a negative way

You can confirm your service does not use or promote the use of interventions that don’t have appropriate certification and/or a documented evidence base,

You can confirm your service offers provision relevant to the UK population or international organisations who practice in the UK unless the provider can provide evidence of how they align with UK law, legislation, insurance requirements, practice regulations and governance.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your service.

You will promptly update your listing if any details change or become inaccurate.
We reserve right to use our due diligence process review in relation to organisations that have links to: pharmaceutical, gambling, tobacco, alcohol, flexi payment companies, weapons, debt management / pay day lenders / short term loan providers against our organisational due-diligence policy to decide whether they will be accepted.

3. Use of Information

The National Autistic Society reserves the right to edit, remove, or reject listings that do not meet the Directory’s purpose or standards.

The National Autistic Society may use the information you provide to display your service publicly on the Directory and related National Autistic Society platforms.

You grant The National Autistic Society a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish your service details for the duration of your listing.
3A. Third-Party Sharing

The National Autistic Society may share the Autism Services Directory, in whole or in part, with third-party organisations that provide similar support to autistic people and their families, including but not limited to trusted partners, platform hosts, or programme collaborators.

Such sharing will be for the purpose of enhancing public access, supporting autism-related services, or maintaining integration with platforms such as Autism Central.

The National Autistic Society will ensure that any third-party access is governed by appropriate agreements and safeguards, and that service information is used only in accordance with these Terms and National Autistic Society’s Privacy Notice.

By registering, you consent to your service information being included in such shared versions of the Directory, unless you notify The National Autistic Society in writing of any objection.
4. Restrictions

You may not use the Directory to promote services that conflict with National Autistic Society’s values or policies.

You may not transfer, sublicense, or sell access to the Directory or its data.

You may not use The National Autistic Society branding, logos, or marks unless separately authorised in writing.
5. Data Protection

The National Autistic Society is the Data Controller for the Directory and will process personal data in accordance with its privacy notice.

You must ensure that any personal data you submit (e.g. contact details) is submitted with appropriate consent.
6. Removal and Suspension
The National Autistic Society reserves the right to suspend or remove your listing at any time if:

The information is found to be inaccurate or misleading;

The service is no longer active or relevant;

Organisation or directors in their role in the organisation have been found guilty of a serious crime e.g. corruption, money laundering, fraud or bribery etc.

7. Variation of Terms
The National Autistic Society may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Directory after changes are published will be deemed acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
