We understand that as parents and carers you might be worried about the future, but we can help you plan for it. Inheriting a lump sum of money could affect an autistic person’s benefit entitlement and care, so it is important to put plans in place to ensure their financial protection and your peace of mind. A trust is a way of providing for them without disrupting their life.

Wills and Trusts Webinar

The National Autistic Society is running a “Planning for the Future” webinar on Tuesday 15th September 2026, from 10am-11am, plus a 15 minute Q&A at the end of the presentation. The webinar will feature specialist Solicitor Stuart Price who will explain how to safeguard means tested benefits and how to provide financial security for your autistic loved one, as well as the rest of the family. Stuart will talk through why it is important to make a Will and Letter of Wishes, the different Trust options available and choosing the right Trustees. Wills and Trusts Phone Service

The National Autistic Society’s Wills and Trusts Phone Service allows you to speak to a qualified solicitor who can talk through your options, answer your questions, and provide the information you need before starting to make your arrangements.

The phone service operates on a call back basis every second Friday between 11am – 1pm. Please complete this form to request a call and we’ll be in touch shortly with further information about an appointment.

Please note that there is a currently a waiting time of around 4 months for a Phone Service appointment, due to demand.
