Camden Autism Partnership Board launches a survey to develop an autism strategy and plan
Published on 23 May 2024
The Camden Autism Partnership Board in collaboration with the National Autistic Society has launched a survey. The aim is to gather the opinions and priorities of residents to inform the Camden co-produced autism strategy and plan.
Camden contacted the Training and Consultancy team of the National Autistic Society for advice and support on how to reach its goal of co-producing an informed autism strategy and plan. A team from Camden and the National Autistic Society have worked closely together to produce a fully co-produced survey that will gather information about people's needs and quality of life.
Autistic consultants from the National Autistic Society alongside parents/carers, contributed to the development and testing of the survey ensuring that the topics that it explores and the wording are clear and appropriate. Feedback from Camden’s Autism Partnership Board and other relevant local groups was also considered.
The process of finalising the survey took longer than initially anticipated due to the wider commitment to the survey being fully and meaningfully co-produced.
