Meet KJ – Data Operations

Volunteering has broadened my understanding of autism and deepened my empathy for those who navigate a world that often does not cater to their needs. I also enjoyed finding new ways to support the data team, which motivated me to learn how to write macros.
Additionally, I was able to further develop my coding skills by working on a passion project dedicated to supporting the charity.
I supported the operations of the data team, which is vital in ensuring members receive accurate services and information, as well as maintaining reliable data for future fundraising activities. This helps the organisation make informed, data‑led decisions. By supporting these processes, I also helped reduce the workload of core team members, allowing them to focus on other equally important tasks that may otherwise have been compromised without volunteer support.
"I chose to volunteer with the National Autistic Society because it offered the opportunity to learn new systems while supporting a cause that is very close to my heart."
