How do I register for this event?
All team members running with a charity place must register with the event organisers, external to the National Autistic Society, by following the instructions emailed to you by a member of our team. All team members who have raised at least £5 on their JustGiving page will be sent these instructions when the event organisers open their registration portal.
After you pay your £50 entry fee, you will be sent a link to set up your Team Autism Berlin Marathon 2027 JustGiving page, which will be linked to your registration on the event organisers portal. If you are unsure whether you have registered this way or not, please email the team at myevent@nas.org.uk and we will check for you.
When will I receive my running vest?
We will be dispatching your running vests at least six weeks before the event day. Please contact myevent@nas.org.uk if you still haven’t received your running vest by this time.
When is the fundraising deadline?
The fundraising deadline is four weeks after the event.
What if I don’t meet my minimum fundraising target?
When applying for a charity place for the BMW Berlin Marathon, you had pledged to fundraise £1,200 for the charity. We understand that sometimes it may be difficult to reach your fundraising target due to unexpected circumstances. If you’re struggling to reach your fundraising target, please let a member of the events team know at myevent@nas.org.uk. We can support you with reaching your fundraising target.
Is the event autism friendly?
The BMW Berlin Marathon involves live music and cheering along the route. This may be overwhelming for some autistic runners, and it’s advised to consider this before applying. Please do reach out to us if you have any concerns we may be able to help with.
Can I fundraise as a team?
Yes, you can fundraise as a team if all the team members are successful in securing a place through us and/or have a ballot place for the event. Please contact the Event Manager to let them know that you’re sharing a fundraising page with a teammate.
I have my own place. Do I have a fundraising target?
As an own place runner (secured your place in the ballot) you do not have a minimum sponsorship amount.
How are the applications rated?
We view everyone’s application independently; however, we do like to see a detailed application. Let us know what your connection to the cause is and we like to know how much you can fundraise and how well thought out your fundraising plan is, so please do put in as much information as you can.
