Warm and Friendly Counselling

Main information

Service categories: Counselling and therapies

Hello, I’m Katrin, a qualified counsellor based in Newcastle.

I work with adults, young people, and couples, offering a warm, thoughtful, neurodiversity-affirming space where you can be yourself, explore what’s going on for you, and feel heard and understood.

I offer relaxed, flexible therapy, supporting you in navigating anxiety, low mood, neurodiversity (including autism, ADHD, and AuDHD), relationship difficulties, feeling stuck, low confidence, grief and loss, life transitions, and questions of identity and meaning.

Counselling is available online, by phone, or outdoors as walk-and-talk therapy in Leazes Park.

How counselling can help

People come to counselling for many reasons. You might be feeling low or overwhelmed, less confident, or finding the same difficulties coming up in your life or relationships, or going through a change or transition. Sometimes there’s a sense that something feels ‘off’, even if it’s hard to put into words.

Counselling offers a supportive, confidential space to talk openly and share what’s going on for you, with someone who is on your side. Sessions are collaborative, where you can begin to untangle thoughts, feelings, and patterns that can feel difficult to make sense of on your own.

You’re welcome to bring whatever feels important to you, big or small. We can explore it together.

My counselling approach

I work in a warm, informal, and relaxed way, drawing on an integrative, relational approach. We go at a pace that feels right for you.

I welcome both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients, and we’ll focus on what feels most helpful. Your feedback is always welcome, and we can check in as we go.

Counselling offers time and space to reflect on what matters to you now, supporting self-compassion and new perspectives.

This can open up the possibility of making choices that feel kinder and more supportive, both in your relationships and with yourself.

Counselling is available online (via Teams), by phone, or outdoors through walk-and-talk therapy in Leazes Park. Sessions are payable in advance to reserve your space. I offer appointments Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with some evening appointments available.
