Warm and Friendly Counselling

Main information

Service categories: Counselling and therapies

Hello, I’m Katrin, a qualified counsellor based in Newcastle. Thank you for being here.

I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way and offer a warm, and accepting space where you can be yourself, explore what’s going on for you, and feel genuinely heard and understood.

I offer individual counselling, and also work with couples. Sessions are available online, by phone, or outdoors as walk-and-talk therapy in Leazes Park.

In my work, I provide relaxed, collaborative therapy for adults and young people, helping you navigate anxiety, low mood, neurodiversity (including autism, AuDHD and ADHD), feeling stuck, relationship difficulties, identity, low confidence, finding meaning, and life transitions.

In therapy, there’s no need to hold back or apologise for how you feel. You’re welcome to bring whatever is present for you, whether that’s thoughts about the future or the past, your relationships, questions of purpose, identity, or life itself.

Nothing is too big or too small to talk about. Whatever you bring, we’ll explore it together.

How counselling can help

At times in life, many of us feel stuck or face certain challenges. You may be experiencing low mood or worry, feeling less hopeful than usual, or carrying the weight of difficult life experiences.

Perhaps you want to understand yourself more deeply or navigate your neurodiversity. You may be looking for a way of relating and living that feels more aligned and authentic.

My approach is warm, dynamic and relaxed. I work integratively and relationally, and we take things at your pace.

I’m a neurodiversity-affirming therapist and offer a respectful, flexible space to support you in exploring what you’re experiencing and what you’d like to be different.

I welcome both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients. Our work together is shaped by what feels most helpful to you. Your thoughts and feedback are always welcome.

Counselling provides a space and time to reflect on what matters to you now, encouraging self-compassion, gaining a clearer view and new perspectives.

This creates room for choices that are kinder and more supportive, both in your relationships and with yourself.
