Are you an autistic professional, worn out by endless responsibilities? Uncertain about the right way forward and why everything feels so difficult? Living in constant tension?

You may no longer know who you are.

Pressure accumulates. Resentment builds. You maintain control as best you can...until rage erupts. Or you withdraw completely. Sometimes words just stop. You wonder if you're a bad person, if it's all your doing. Maybe you blame autism itself. You feel unseen, unloveable and alone.

Still, you want to find a close circle of friends who share your passions. A partner who truly understands you. You want purpose, relief from judgement and worry. Perhaps you even want to create meaningful change for others.

Deep down you know it's possible. After all, you've accomplished so much already. Education, professional status, maybe you've built a family...But somehow you feel stuck.

Is this what it's been like?

I'm Lii, an autistic therapist, data analyst, doctoral researcher and mother of three. I understand what it means to be very different from those around you.

What if you could have the time alone you so badly need? Take things much slower? Find joy? Things genuinely can improve, and you'll be the one to make it happen. Counselling can help you achieve this.

Gain clarity and calm through therapy. Start living fully.

I help you to:

  • understand your autistic identity
  • process your experiences
  • manage anxiety and depression
  • harness the power of big emotions
  • build meaningful relationships
  • find purpose and create meaning
  • thrive at work

Together we'll address your concerns and consider a realistic version of your desired future, given your resources. We'll identify your strengths and plan actionable steps you can take immediately.

As you rediscover your resourcefulness, imagination and self-worth, much of the negative experiences subside. While there may not be one perfect answer to every challenge, therapy often reveals new ways forward. Past clients found sessions useful and reached their goals with calm confidence.

"I started seeing Lii after being diagnosed with autism and feeling overwhelmed due to a significant change in my work life which led to constant anxiety and a lot of all-or-nothing thinking. They've helped me to better understand those patterns and build more balanced ways of thinking, whilst also supporting me through the challenges of being autistic in the workplace. I found the environment safe, non-judgemental and relaxed with any tips and advice given always practical. I'd highly recommend them to other autistic adults looking for support." (T., IT professional)

I'm an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), hold an enhanced DBS certificate and professional insurance.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Autism (Distinction) - Sheffield Hallam University
  • Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

I'm currently working on a PhD thesis in autism studies at Sheffield Hallam University. My thesis focuses on autistic success and wellness. I've worked clinically with a range of concerns including relational struggles, depression, low self-esteem and anxiety.

You don't have to stay stuck in burnout-depression cycles. Recovery is possible. Your health insurance may cover the sessions. Book your free 15-minute consultation through my website today.
