The Workhouse & Infirmary are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for neurodivergent visitors and their families / companions. The Workhouse and Infirmary is listed on Euan's Guide, Tripadvisor and our social media channels (Facebook & Instagram) where you can read reviews about our services. To help visitors plan their trip, we provide a visual story and offer regular Quiet Hours, which are designed to provide a calmer introduction to the site. Ear defenders and fidget toys are available from the Entrance Hub, tactile elements can be found throughout the buildings, and we support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme. Visitors can also borrow a Makaton guidebook during their visit. Many of our staff and volunteers have completed Autism Awareness training which enables us to support a wide range of visitor needs.
