Main information
Service categories: Schools and education providers

The Sensory Booth provides autism-friendly tutoring and personalised learning support for children and young people. Sessions are tailored to each learner’s strengths, interests, communication style, sensory profile and pace of learning, with a strong focus on building confidence and enjoyment in learning.
Support is shaped by a calm, relational and flexible approach, recognising that autistic children and young people learn best when they feel safe, understood and supported. Practice is informed by trauma-informed approaches and PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy), helping to create positive relationships and reduce anxiety around learning. Sessions may include clear routines, manageable steps, visual support, movement or sensory breaks, and activities linked to a child’s interests to help learning feel accessible and meaningful.
The Sensory Booth is not a one-size-fits-all service. Every child is different, so support is adapted to meet individual needs in a respectful and strengths-based way. With experience leading the primary department within an Outstanding autism-specific school, The Sensory Booth brings a strong understanding of how to adapt learning for autistic pupils in ways that support regulation, engagement and meaningful progress. The aim is to help each child feel successful, develop trust in their own abilities, and enjoy learning in a way that works for them.
