The Integratis Clinic provides specialist therapy and counselling for children, teenagers and young adults in Tunbridge Wells, including those who are autistic, have ADHD or are experiencing difficulties associated with neurodivergence. We support young people with anxiety, emotional distress, school-based difficulties, low mood, friendship and relationship difficulties, masking and sensory or social overwhelm.

Our service is adapted to meet the individual needs of autistic young people. We take time to understand each person’s communication style, sensory needs, developmental profile and experience across home, school and relationships. Sessions do not depend entirely on verbal communication and may include play, creative materials, visual approaches or a young person’s interests, allowing them to communicate in ways that feel more natural to them. The pace and structure of therapy can also be adjusted to provide greater predictability and reduce pressure.

Our therapists understand that distress may arise from sensory overwhelm, masking, anxiety, difficult school experiences or repeatedly having needs misunderstood. Therapy aims to understand what may be underlying a young person’s difficulties rather than viewing autism itself as something that needs to be treated or changed.

We work closely with parents and carers throughout the therapeutic process, where appropriate, and can liaise with other professionals involved in the young person’s care. Each child or young person is matched with the therapist and therapeutic approach most likely to meet their individual needs. We also provide support for parents who would like help understanding and responding to their child’s emotional and developmental needs.
