SENguru provides free online tools to help parents and carers manage the EHCP process, built by two SEND parents who have been through it themselves.

My name is Chris. As a parent to two autistic daughters, I know well the difficulty and admin involved in securing an EHCP for an autistic child, especially given how stretched SEND budgets at schools and councils now are. It's even harder if you don't have the privilege of a diagnosis or are disbelieved by the professionals who are meant to help.

Myself and my co-founder Valentina, are building digital tools to help other parents advocate for their child, and make some of this just a little bit easier!

The tools include:

• A correspondence tracker for letters, emails and phone calls with the local authority and school. Forward your emails to SENguru and have it automatically log everything so you don't lose it or forget
• A behaviour and communication log for gathering day-to-day evidence of your child or young person's needs
• A plain English guide to each stage of the statutory process, including timescales and parent's rights, tracking all the deadlines for you step-by-step
• An automated EHCP draft plan review tool - finding unenforceable or poor language and helping you challenge it
• Tribunal and mediation support to help you organise your evidence and put together the strongest case for your child or young person
• An AI chat bot to ask anything about the EHCP process and your child's case, help you write letters and emails and respond to the local authority and school

Core features are free, and as a non-profit community interest company, they will stay free. Paid features will be available as an optional upgrade.
