S E I K Psychiatry is a CQC-registered, not-for-profit mental health service led by a neurodivergent team. We support children (from 7 years), young people, and adults. Our work is strengths-based and autistic-affirming, with autism assessments tailored to each person’s needs and communication style.

How we tailor our service for autistic people:

  • A predictable, low-demand assessment process with clear, step-by-step information in advance.
  • Flexible pacing with breaks; you can respond in writing, verbally, or both.
  • Choice of communication preferences (e.g., email first, minimal phone calls) and plain-language explanations.
  • Sensory-aware practice and reasonable adjustments on request (e.g., quieter settings, cameras off, reduced small talk, no expectation of eye contact).
  • Consideration of masking/camouflaging and diverse presentations across genders and ages.
  • Option to bring a supporter; for under-18s we collaborate with parents/carers (and schools where helpful and consented).
  • Clear, practical reports focused on next steps, reasonable adjustments, and support.

As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus is reinvested into improving access and quality of care. Our aim is to offer compassionate, expert assessments and follow-up that respect neurodivergent lived experience and help you (or your child) thrive.
