I'm Octavia Landy and I am neurodivergent, and neurodiversity-affirming integrative psychotherapist. My late-life diagnosis of ADHD and autism was nothing short of life-changing. For years I had carried a sense of being “different” without the words to explain why. Finally having that clarity was both a relief and a revelation, it gave me permission to understand myself with compassion rather than criticism. It also reshaped the way I work as a therapist, deepening my commitment to offering neurodiversity-affirming therapy where clients can feel seen, understood, and supported in their whole selves.
The 'Integrative' part means I draw on different psychotherapeutic approaches to my work, depending on what feels most helpful for you. This may include focusing on the person-to-person relationship (humanistic), exploring how early experiences and unconscious processes shape the present (psychodynamic), or noticing how emotions live in the body and how neuroscience and attachment studies can support change (body-based).
I also bring in existential ideas about the wider human experience and pay close attention to the relationship between us (relational), as this can reflect patterns in your life. For neurodivergent clients, I aim to offer a flexible, collaborative, and non-judgmental space that adapts to different communication styles, sensory needs, and ways of processing, so that therapy feels supportive and accessible to you.
Session Structure
Each session will be 50 minutes and will start on the hour.
In our first session, which may be the assessment, we’ll talk about what brings you here and what you hope to get from therapy. You will be able to decide if I am the right therapist for you. From there, we’ll build a working relationship rooted in trust, compassion, and curiosity.
Sessions will take place on a regular day and time, e.g. Mondays at 3pm or every other Tuesday at 2pm.
Working minimally with one session per week is best, but in certain circumstances, I will consider working on a fortnightly basis or as and when required.
What we will be doing over the course of our sessions:
In our sessions, you’ll have a safe, confidential space to explore what’s going on in your life, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or navigating grief or change. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here; we’ll work together in a way that suits your pace and needs.
Sessions may involve discussing the past and present. We may use creative tools like drawing or writing. I will encourage you to notice what comes up in your body, and together we will explore patterns in relationships and behaviour. Some people prefer a structured session with clear goals, while others prefer a space to explore freely; both are welcome. Psychotherapy can offer insight, relief, and a sense of being heard. We might look at your past to understand how it shapes the present, and we’ll also think about how to support you in the here and now. Over time, many people find that therapy helps them feel more connected to themselves and others.
What you can expect from me:
• I will be on time for my sessions
• If, for any reason, I have to cancel a session, I will always let you know with as much notice as possible, and there will be no charge.
• During your session, you will have my full attention, and I will not have distractions, like my phone.
What I will expect from you:
• You will be on time for your session.
• If you cannot make a session, please provide as much notice as possible, and where possible, give me 48 hours to ensure you do not lose a session.
• If you are 15 minutes late or more, the session will no longer go ahead, but it will count as one of your allocated and charged sessions.
• You will put your phone away and not have it out in sessions, unless this is agreed in advance.

Working with Neurodivergence
I am AuDHD and have lived experience of being in the world as a neurodivergent person. I work with many neurodivergent clients, and I am happy to accommodate any adjustments for you to feel comfortable, both online and in person. You can let me know beforehand, or we can discuss in the assessment.
Here are some examples of adjustments:-
• time to settle on arrival
• your preference for making eye contact
• permission to switch your camera off if you need to (online)
• use of a fidget toy or stress ball (I have some stress balls available for clients to use)
Cancellation Policy
I ask for a 48-hour cancellation notice or, otherwise, will be charged for missed sessions. When you book an appointment, you are reserving a time on my calendar that is no longer available to other clients.
Therefore, I kindly request that you notify me at least 48 hours’ notice (within working days) before the session start time if you are unable to attend. Requests to cancel or postpone a session must be sent in writing, either by email or WhatsApp, directly to me. Wherever possible, I will offer you an alternative session date and time within 24 working hours of receiving your message. If you have not given sufficient notice or fail to attend a session, you will be charged in full for the cost of the session. Any variation from this policy and gestures of goodwill shall be agreed with me on a case-by-case basis.

Client confidentiality is crucial; the information you provide to me will not be shared with a third party unless there are exceptional circumstances, such as safeguarding issues or otherwise required by law.
