Main information

PDA Compass is an online support community for parents and carers of children with a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile.

Created by Clinical Psychologists with both professional expertise and lived experience of PDA parenting, PDA Compass focuses on helping parents understand their child’s behaviour, reduce conflict and navigate the emotional impact of caring for a child with a highly sensitive threat system.

Members have access to practical resources, short videos and audios, psychologically informed guidance, parent discussions and opportunities to ask questions directly to Clinical Psychologists. There is a particular focus on supporting parents experiencing exhaustion, overwhelm or burnout, alongside finding compassionate, realistic ways of responding to their child.

PDA Compass is designed to feel supportive and manageable rather than like another parenting programme to complete.
