I'm Nick Rothengatter — an ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Practitioner and ILM Level 5 qualified coach offering one-to-one coaching for autistic adults across the UK.

My approach is grounded in ACT, an evidence-based framework that helps you build psychological flexibility — the ability to handle difficult thoughts and feelings while still moving toward what genuinely matters to you. Rather than trying to "fix" how your brain works, we focus on understanding your values, working with (not against) your wiring, and developing practical strategies you can actually use day to day.

Sessions are tailored to how you process and communicate. That means clear structure, written summaries after every session, agendas shared in advance, flexibility around sensory and energy needs, and space to think and respond at your own pace. Common areas we work on include autistic burnout and recovery, masking and identity, work and career challenges, executive function, emotional regulation, relationships, and post-diagnosis processing.

I bring over a decade of experience supporting neurodivergent adults, lived experience of neurodiversity through close family members, and a deep commitment to autistic-affirming practice.

I work with private clients online UK-wide and am a registered Access to Work coaching supplier — if you have an Access to Work grant, coaching costs can usually be covered in full through DWP.
