National Autistic Society Tower Hamlets Family Support

Main information

Service categories: Information, advice and advocacy

NAS Tower Hamlets Family Support is a project set up by The National Autistic Society (NAS) to provide information, advice and support to the parents and carers of children and young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) living in Tower Hamlets. The service provides advice, information and suggestions to help with the behavioural, emotional and practical challenges that living with a child or young person with ASD can present.

 This service offers:

  • 1-1 phone/video appointments for families of children aged 0-17 years to discuss diagnosis and challenges, rights, entitlements and benefits, and services available to the family.
  • Online workshops for families with children who have an Autism diagnosis. Our workshops cover a range of topics including post diagnosis support delivered in collaboration with NHS CAMHS and the Tower Hamlets Disabled Children’s Outreach Service (TH DCOS), supporting behaviour, and sensory differences. Workshops are delivered in both English and Bengali.
  • Activities and outings for families organised in Summer and Christmas.
