What does the service provide?

Marcia Care and Education provides individual, therapeutic mentoring and support tailored to autistic young people. Support is delivered in a structured, consistent, and low-demand way, focusing on building trust, emotional wellbeing, and confidence.

We work at the young person’s pace, adapting to their communication style and sensory needs, and supporting engagement in learning, daily routines, and community activities.

How does the service support autistic people?

Person-centred, individual support plans

Consistent mentors to build trust and reduce anxiety

Structured, predictable sessions

Adapted communication (visual supports, simplified language, interest-led approaches)

Sensory-aware support to reduce overwhelm

Low-demand approach to support engagement safely

Support with emotional regulation and wellbeing

Development of social confidence in a natural, supported way

Building independence and life skills

Gradual transitions into education or community settings

How are families involved?

We work closely with parents and carers to ensure consistency and understanding across all environments. Regular communication and feedback are provided, and support is aligned with EHCP outcomes and professional recommendations.

Re-engage with learning and routines

Develop independence and life skills

Move towards education, training, or community participation.
