Autism Service Directory

Jennifer McKean (MSc, MAC, MNCPS Accred.)

Main information

Service categories: Counselling and therapies

Counselling from a neurodivergent professional can be an essential resource after being diagnosed, or self-diagnosed as Autistic, helping you navigate this new understanding of yourself with compassion and strength. Therapy can guide you in understanding your past in a new context. We can experience a mix of emotions after a diagnosis, including relief, grief, or even anger about missed support in earlier years. Therapy provides a safe space to explore and process these feelings. Through this journey, you can find a sense of empowerment, belonging, and resilience, creating a fulfilling life on your own terms.
