Illumina Autism Assessment

Main information

Service categories: Diagnosticians

Illumina provides private autism assessments for adults and young people aged 14 and over. Assessments are carried out jointly by two experienced HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists, Dr Dan Stevens and Dr Jess Stock.

We bring together information from across a person’s life rather than relying on any single test. Assessment typically includes background questionnaires, a detailed developmental history, a face-to-face clinical assessment including the ADOS-2, joint clinical review, feedback and a comprehensive written report.

We have particular experience of situations where the picture is complex or where there may be several possible explanations for someone’s experiences. This includes autism alongside other neurodevelopmental or mental-health presentations. Our aim is to reach a careful clinical understanding, whether or not the assessment results in an autism diagnosis.

Face-to-face appointments usually take place in Brighton, close to Preston Park Station. Self-referrals are welcome. The standard assessment package is £1,750 and we offer a free initial call to discuss whether the service may be suitable.
