Goodysphere Sensory Bus

Accessible sensory experiences delivered in a calm, mobile environment

Goodysphere Sensory Bus is a fully converted, rainforest-themed sensory space on wheels, designed to support autistic children, young people, and adults who may find traditional environments overwhelming.

The bus provides a calm, inclusive space where visitors can regulate, explore sensory input at their own pace, and feel safe to be themselves. Sessions are tailored to individual needs, with no pressure to engage in any specific activity.

Goodysphere operates across South Yorkshire and surrounding areas, attending private bookings, schools, community events, and local authority-led activities.

What we offer

The sensory bus includes a carefully considered range of equipment to support sensory regulation and emotional wellbeing, including:

  • A bubble tube for visual calming
  • Fibre optic waterfall lighting (non-intrusive and soft)
  • Sequin boards for tactile and visual interaction
  • Mirrors for self-awareness and exploration
  • A sensory swing for vestibular and proprioceptive input
  • Soft mats and adaptable equipment

All elements are optional — visitors are free to engage as much or as little as they wish.

Who it’s for

Goodysphere is suitable for:

  • Autistic children, teenagers, and adults
  • People with sensory processing differences
  • Individuals who benefit from quiet, low-demand environments
  • Families seeking inclusive, accessible experiences

The space is not just for children — sensory needs do not disappear with age.

Our approach

We focus on bringing Accessible Fun to Everyone

Goodysphere is designed to reduce sensory overload, provide predictability, and support emotional regulation. Sessions are unhurried, flexible, and led by the individual’s needs on the day.

Staff are experienced, patient, and understanding, and work to ensure visitors feel respected, safe, and welcome.

Accessibility and adjustments

  • Calm, enclosed sensory space away from crowds
  • Flexible session lengths and pacing
  • Visitors can enter and leave the bus as needed
  • No loud music or sudden sensory input
  • Clear communication and a supportive, non-judgemental approach

If you have specific access needs, these can be discussed in advance.
