Forest & Bee: Counselling & Creative Therapy

Main information

Service categories: Counselling and therapies

Hi, I’m Becs (She/Her). I’m a neurodivergent therapist, and I understand what it’s like to navigate life with a brain that works differently. I know the challenges, the worries, and the moments of self‑doubt – but I also know the strengths, creativity, and tenacity that often come with difference.

My approach is neuro-affirming, LGBTQIA+ welcoming and disability inclusive, supporting and celebrating your strengths and identity.

I do not view neurodivergence as a disorder or a condition, but as a naturally occurring neurotype. My private practice is a safe place to be yourself, where stimming and unmasking are welcomed.

I offer counselling sessions online, by telephone and in-person in Langport, Somerset - working with young people (12+) and adults. I offer a safe space to be yourself, where stimming and unmasking are welcomed.

  • Identity: I can support you in exploring your identity and help you make sense of your experiences. Together, we can look at what it means to feel different, to struggle with feelings of not being good enough, or to navigate challenges around self‑esteem, self‑worth, and purpose. I also work closely with those living with disabilities, offering space to understand lived experience without assumptions.

  • Young people (aged 12+): I support young people with anxiety, depression and self-harming who may have had negative experiences such as bullying, identity confusion and autistic burnout. Together, we will focus on understanding unmet or misunderstood needs and working through the impact of micro‑traumas. Many young people I work with struggle to trust adults in positions of authority, especially if they experience Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), or have struggled in mainstream settings. My approach centres on co‑regulation, offering space rather than expectations, and supporting autonomy, control, and independence.

  • Late-discovered or diagnosed neurodiversity: I will work with you to explore your identity and make sense of your past through the lens of your neurodivergence. Many people spend years in survival mode, feeling exhausted or stuck, so together we can look at unhelpful patterns and the impact of environments that create sensory distress, anxiety, and nervous‑system overwhelm. I will support you in understanding how the mind and body hold pain, how micro-traumas, masking, and fawning shape daily life, and how these experiences influence relationships. Many people carry a deep sense of shame linked to how they are perceived by others, leading to over-adaptation, withdrawal, loneliness, and a loss of authentic connection. Our work focuses on gently untangling these experiences so you can move toward a more empowered and self‑affirming way of being.

Other services that I offer are:

Therapeutic Art Sessions - created to be a gentle introduction to the therapeutic environment, created for people who may be experiencing anxiety, burnout, depression, self-injury or educational trauma and are unable to engage in traditional counselling at this stage in their life.

Parent Support Sessions - Created for parents who are supporting children who are unable to access education, experiencing life-changing anxiety or waiting for a diagnosis. I recognise that trauma doesn’t just affect the young person - it can ripple through families, especially when systems feel inaccessible, inflexible, or blaming. This is a place for you to express your worries and find ways to cope with supporting a child who is struggling, whilst maintaining your own wellbeing.
