Drake Primary School is a two-form mainstream primary school with an autism specialist provision. Our Specialist Resource Base (SRB) caters to sixteen pupils from Reception to Year 6, with a primary profile of social communication differences. Drake Primary School has a strong understanding of evidence-informed approaches associated with good autism practice, which is embedded through their universal, targeted and specialist provision offer. These approaches are consistently adapted to ensure support is person-centred and tailored to individual abilities, interests, preferences.
Drake Primary School thoroughly enjoyed the process of completing their Autism Specialist Accreditation Award. This recognition of their continuous onwards journey to provide best practise for autistic children has been invaluable for pupils, families, teaching staff and leaders alike. Drake Primary School have a relentless ambition to continue to develop their practise, with autistic children at the centre.
