I am a chartered psychologist with over 20 years’ experience of delivering comprehensive autism assessments in a range of settings, including research, various NHS trusts, independent practice and the Criminal Justice System. I currently work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide autism assessments, adhering to NICE guidelines and using current gold-standard tools (ADI-R and ADOS-2).
My previous research roles have included coordinating and co-leading one of the world’s largest twin studies of autism, focusing on issues such as co-occurring mental health difficulties and gender inequalities in diagnosis. This work has led to a particular interest in working with girls, women and AFAB individuals, however my assessment work is for all gender identities. My career has allowed me to work with autistic children and adults, and their families and I am passionate about accurate and informative assessment and diagnosis.
