👋 Diverse Nation provides scientifically designed, autism-friendly accommodation created to feel calm, predictable, and genuinely comfortable from the moment you arrive.
We are proud to be recognised by the National Autistic Society Autism Friendly Award, and to be the UK’s only provider of across-the-spectrum neuroinclusive stays. This means our spaces are thoughtfully designed not just for autistic people, but for individuals with a wide range of neurodivergent profiles — including ADHD, sensory processing differences, OCD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, Tourette’s, and those who identify as having multiple or combined neurodivergences.
We understand that many people do not fit into a single label and that needs can vary from day to day. That’s why our approach is based on psychology and real lived experience, rather than assumptions.
Our properties are intentionally sensory-underloaded to reduce overwhelm. This includes:
- Soft, neutral colour palettes
- Low-clutter, visually calm environments
- Layered, dimmable lighting (no harsh glare)
- Blackout blinds for better rest
- Quiet, predictable spaces to decompress
We also reduce uncertainty — one of the biggest sources of anxiety — by providing clear, detailed pre-arrival information so you know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
Communication is simple, direct, and literal. There is no pressure to engage socially, and flexibility is built into the experience wherever possible.
Whether you are travelling for work, visiting family, or taking a break, our aim is simple: to create a space where your nervous system can settle, and you can feel safe, comfortable, and fully yourself 💙💛
