Hello, I’m Tom. I’m an Autistic, BACP-registered Humanistic Integrative Counsellor based in Bournemouth, Dorset. I offer counselling for adults (18+) through online and telephone sessions across the UK, with face-to-face sessions available locally.
Perhaps you have spent years feeling different, overwhelmed, exhausted from trying to fit in, or struggling to make sense of your experiences. Maybe you are exploring whether you may be Autistic or ADHD, adjusting to a recent diagnosis, or trying to better understand yourself and what you need.
As an Autistic person myself, I bring lived experience alongside professional training. I understand that navigating a world that is not always designed with Neurodivergent people in mind can bring challenges around identity, relationships, communication, sensory experiences and self-acceptance.
I offer a warm, authentic and non-judgemental space where you do not need to mask, hide parts of yourself or feel pressure to “fit in”. I draw from different therapeutic theories and concepts, adapting our work to meet your individual needs in a Neurodivergent-Affirming way. Together, we can explore your experiences, develop greater self-understanding and compassion, make sense of what is happening for you, and work towards meaningful change that feels sustainable and authentic to who you are.
I support Autistic, ADHD and AuDHD clients, including those who self-identify or are exploring their Neurodivergence. I can support with experiences including:
- Masking and the exhaustion of constantly adapting
- Burnout, shutdowns and sensory overwhelm
- Late diagnosis, self-discovery and identity
- Understanding your needs and finding ways to support yourself
- Anxiety, low mood and self-esteem
- Relationship difficulties and communication
- Life transitions and changes
Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, and I understand that finding the right counsellor is important. I offer a free, no-obligation video or telephone consultation where you can ask questions, discuss how I might be able to support you, and explore any adjustments that may help you feel comfortable.
Sessions are £50 per 50 minutes and are available online, by telephone, or face-to-face in Bournemouth, Dorset.
If you feel that my approach may be the right fit for you, please feel free to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation.
