At Reframe Psychology, we are proud to offer comprehensive autism assessments for both children and adults. Our assessments are carried out by two experienced Clinical Psychologists, Dr Rebecca Allgood-May and Dr Susie Haynes, who work together to provide a thorough, compassionate, and evidence-based process.
We understand that seeking an autism assessment can feel like a big step – whether for yourself, your child, or someone you love. Our aim is to make the process clear, supportive, and empowering, so that you leave with not just a diagnosis (if appropriate) but also meaningful recommendations for support and wellbeing.
Our autism assessment package is carefully structured to give you a clear and accurate picture:
- Initial Screening & History Taking: Gathering background information, developmental history, and understanding current strengths and challenges.
- Structured Interviews: Using gold-standard tools such as the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised).
- A total interview time of 3.5-4 hours.
- Questionnaires: For parents, carers, or individuals themselves to capture experiences across settings.
- Feedback Session: A dedicated session with Dr Rebecca or Dr Susie to discuss results, answer questions, and provide clear next steps.
- Written Report: A detailed clinical report, including diagnostic outcomes (if applicable), tailored recommendations, and onward resources for support at school, work, or in daily life.
