Main information

Service categories: Extra-curricular and leisure activities, Schools and education providers, Social care and residential services

Compass SEN Support provides personalised support for autistic children and young people and those with additional SEND needs. We work with families to provide flexible, child-centred support at home, in the community, online where appropriate, and through targeted learning activities.

Support can include communication and interaction, sensory needs, emotional regulation, routines, independence and life skills, social participation, community access, literacy and numeracy, and working towards individual or EHCP outcomes.

Families can access different levels of support depending on their child's individual needs. This ranges from everyday support with routines, play, communication and independence to targeted SEN support and advanced individualised teaching and learning.

We recognise that every autistic child and young person is different. Support is therefore planned around the individual's strengths, interests, communication preferences, needs and family goals.

A formal autism diagnosis or EHCP is not required to access our service. Families can contact Compass SEN Support directly to discuss their child's needs and the type of support they are looking for.

Our aim is to provide safe, respectful and reliable support that helps children and young people build confidence, develop independence, participate in their communities and make meaningful progress.
