Cognition Clinical Psychology

At Cognition Clinical Psychology, we provide exceptional, evidence-based psychological assessment and consultation services for autistic individuals, ADHDers, and neurodivergent people across the lifespan.

Founded on clinical excellence, compassion, and deep neuroaffirmative understanding, our service is known for delivering highly personalised assessments and recommendations that honour each individual’s unique profile, strengths, lived experience, and support needs.

Our approach combines gold-standard clinical practice with warmth, integrity, and genuine human connection — creating a process that feels supportive, respectful, and empowering from first contact through to post-diagnostic care.

A Thoughtfully Home-Based Service

All assessments are delivered within the comfort and familiarity of the individual’s home environment.

We recognise that traditional clinical settings can sometimes create additional anxiety, sensory overwhelm, or pressure to mask — particularly for autistic and neurodivergent individuals. By working within environments where people naturally feel safer and more regulated, we are often able to gain a far more authentic understanding of the individual and their day-to-day experiences.

This approach allows assessments to feel more relaxed, accessible, and person-centred, while also helping clinicians observe communication styles, sensory needs, routines, interactions, and presentation in a setting that reflects real life rather than a formal clinical environment.

For many individuals and families, this creates a more comfortable and validating experience, reducing the stress that can often accompany assessment processes.

Specialist Autism & ADHD Expertise

Cognition Clinical Psychology offers comprehensive Autism and ADHD assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, alongside psychological consultation, diagnostic clarification, and tailored support planning.

Every assessment is conducted with clinical rigour and sensitivity, ensuring individuals and families feel heard, understood, and valued throughout the process.

We are particularly recognised for our expertise in:

  • Complex and high-masking presentations
  • Female and non-stereotypical autism profiles
  • Co-occurring mental health presentations
  • Late-diagnosed adults
  • Trauma-informed and neuroaffirmative practice
  • Supporting individuals who may have previously felt misunderstood or overlooked by services
