Chase Road Provision - Provider: Filey Care and Support Ltd.
Filey Care & Support LTD at Chase Road provides 24-hour supported living for adults with autism and/or learning disabilities, with a clear commitment to person-centred care and best practice in line with National Autistic Society standards. The provision promotes independence, well-being, and inclusion through the use of personalised communication tools such as PECS, visual supports, social stories, and intensive interaction.
Individuals are supported to develop life skills and self-reliance using active support approaches, visual schedules, and personalised independence goals. Sensory needs are carefully considered through individual sensory profiles, sensory diets, and access to low-arousal, calming environments. Well-being is a core focus, with proactive behavioural support, zones of regulation, mindfulness, and PBS strategies embedded in everyday practice.
Therapeutic input is integrated into daily routines through collaboration with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and behaviour specialists, ensuring a holistic approach to care. The views and experiences of autistic adults are central to service delivery, gathered through regular one-to-one sessions, personalised communication methods, observation, and active involvement in planning their own support.
Where individuals have limited capacity, family members play a key role in shaping care through regular communication, involvement in reviews, and collaborative goal setting. Filey Care & Support LTD continually reviews and adapts its approach to ensure that the support provided meets the unique needs of every individual in their care.
