Cambridge Adult ADHD & ASD Clinic is a specialist service dedicated exclusively to providing ADHD and autism assessment and treatment services in Cambridge. Established in 2018, the clinic has become a trusted centre for adults seeking expert-led, evidence-based, high-quality care tailored to neurodivergent needs.
Our lead clinician, Dr Valentino Pironti, is a recognised ADHD and autism expert who holds a PhD from the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. He was one of the original two clinicians who developed the first NHS Adult ADHD Clinic in Cambridge, based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, which later became part of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
Our autism assessment protocol follows NICE guidelines and uses gold-standard, evidence-based tools, including the ADI-R, ADOS-2, and AAA, to ensure robust and comprehensive evaluations. Each assessment takes approximately four hours and consists of a semi-structured clinical interview, integrated with a full neurodevelopmental, mental health, and psychosocial evaluation, including informant history from someone who has known the client since childhood.
Following the assessment, a detailed diagnostic report is provided, and a post-assessment session is arranged (free of charge) to discuss the report and recommendations. The report serves as formal documentation that may support access to reasonable adjustments and protections under the Equality Act 2010, in workplace, educational, and other settings. All assessments are conducted by Dr Valentino Pironti.
Our clinic has received consistent 5-star feedback from clients, reflecting our commitment to genuine care, professional excellence, and the creation of a supportive environment where autistic adults feel understood and respected.
