Oh love- I’ll get you a brew. Sound familiar? A good cup of tea can be comforting, but it doesn’t magically fix the overwhelm, the masking, the trauma, or the tangled relationships that bring so many of us to therapy.
What it can do is help us slow down, breathe, and start exploring things together in a way that feels safe, steady, and genuinely human.
I work mainly with ADHD and Autistic clients, no official diagnosis required. Together we look at your past and present through a neurodivergent lens, spotting what’s been missed, what’s been hard, and what might finally help. I’m a person‑centred, trauma‑informed counsellor who shows up as a human, not a blank slate. I bring my personality, my lived experience, and my full attention into the room- because real connection heals. My approach is ND‑affirming, gentle, and grounded in clinical training (ADHD‑CCSP, ASDCS in progress) and lived experience (AuDHD).
I support people navigating trauma (including coercive control, physical and sexual abuse), PTSD/CPTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, health challenges, addiction recovery, and the messy, complicated stuff life throws at us.
Sessions with me are open‑ended: your slot is yours for as long as you want it. And comfort is non‑negotiable. Pyjamas? Fine. Info‑dump about a film on the way up the stairs? Please do. This is a space where you get to be fully you. We can work creatively, we can turn the chairs around so eye contact doesn't feel uncomfortable. We can have sessions in person in my West Yorkshire based office which features many plants and even more fidgets, or we could work online or on the phone.
Alongside one‑to‑one therapy, I also provide National Lottery Funded monthly wellbeing sessions for neurodivergent adults with community group Unity: One And All, which are free to attend, because accessible community support matters.
If you feel a spark of “yes, this is my kind of therapist,” I’d love to hear from you.
