We are a local registered charity for parent carers, relatives, and friends of children and adults who have or are awaiting a SEND diagnosis/self diagnosed. We aim to provide a welcoming, inclusive community where families can access support, share experiences, and find opportunities tailored to their needs.
What We Do
👉We invite representatives from local organisations to connect with our members and share available services.
👉We host guest speakers to ensure families are aware of the full range of support available.
👉We work with organisations that want to make their venues more Autism-friendly.
👉We arrange group visits to local attractions, seasonal parties, and an annual summer trip — covering all age ranges from 0 to 99.
👉We provide training days, which are well attended by parent carers, teachers, and nursery staff.
Feedback is always positive, and we are committed to offering more in the future.
Our New Centre
We are proud to now have a permanent centre in West Cumbria, providing a safe and supportive space for Neurodiverse children, adults, and their families. Our centre is designed to meet the needs of the whole community and ensure that everyone feels welcome. We are also proud of our new Sensory Room, which we offer to schools, care homes, and members of the public.
Our Journey to Charity Status
Our members, families, and supporters have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funds through coffee mornings, raffles, and sponsored events. Their dedication has enabled us to strengthen our ability to provide vital services, expand our reach, and ensure a lasting impact for Neurodiverse/SEND children, adults, and their families across West Cumbria.
