Main information

Service categories: Counselling and therapies, Diagnosticians, Information, advice and advocacy

Autism Assessment Pathway provides high-quality private autism assessments for children and young people aged 8–25 and their families across Kent and London.

Our service is based in Hythe, near Folkestone, and is led by HCPC-registered clinical psychologists with extensive NHS experience. We offer thorough, multidisciplinary assessments informed by NICE guidelines, using gold-standard diagnostic tools including the ADOS-2.

We have specialist expertise in neurodiversity, attachment, and trauma — including significant experience supporting looked after children, adopted children, and those in kinship care. We understand that autism can present alongside or be masked by early adverse experiences, and our assessments carefully consider the whole context of a child's development.

Our comprehensive written reports include detailed recommendations for home, school, and wider support — and are specifically written to support EHCP applications and reviews.

Families are typically seen within weeks rather than years. A free 15-minute telephone consultation is available. No GP referral is required.
