I offer autism‑affirming psychotherapy for autistic adults, creating a steady, relational space to explore identity, emotions, relationships and life transitions. My approach is Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), a structured and insight‑oriented model that helps people understand how past and present relationship patterns shape their emotional world.
DIT is a brief form of psychodynamic psychotherapy, usually delivered over 16 sessions, with a clear therapeutic focus agreed together. It supports clients to identify a core relational pattern contributing to current distress, understand how this pattern developed, and explore emotions that may have been masked or difficult to express. Although DIT is typically 16 sessions, there is scope to extend the work when clinically appropriate, especially when clients benefit from a gentler pace or a longer relational process.
NICE guidelines include DIT as an evidence‑based treatment for depression, recognising it as an effective, time‑limited therapy for adults where relational patterns play a significant role in maintaining symptoms.
Sessions are structured, predictable and collaborative, with clear communication and shared decision‑making throughout. I use direct, concrete language when helpful, avoid jargon, and check in regularly so the pace and style of therapy feel comfortable and supportive.
I work in a non‑pathologising, neurodiversity‑affirming way, recognising autism as a valid neurotype and valuing each person’s unique communication style and lived experience. Therapy often focuses on areas such as autistic burnout, masking, identity exploration, relationships, workplace challenges, anxiety and the impact of past misunderstanding or invalidation.
I have experience supporting autistic adults at different stages of their journey, including those who are newly diagnosed, self‑identified or beginning to explore whether they may be autistic. Therapy is adapted to each client’s communication preferences and processing style.
Sessions are available online for adults across the UK and in person in Blackheath Village, London.
