***Coming April 2026 - in-person sessions in Chester***

I'm Laura. I provide online and telephone counselling for neurodivergent people and the people in their support system - parents and carers, partners, siblings and other loved ones. I have a particular (but not exclusive) interest in working with ASD, ADHD and PDA profiles.

In counselling, we'll work towards change—but this doesn’t mean changing to fit into society’s expectations. Instead, it's about exploring what change means for you, on your own terms, in a way that supports your wellbeing and authenticity.

My work is primarily informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a powerful approach that often feels quite different from other therapies. ACT helps us look at how thoughts and emotions show up for you, and how you might relate to them differently so you can live a life shaped by what’s important to you. This is always based on your own values, not anyone else’s expectations.

My work is underpinned by my core training in person-centred therapy, so will always be rooted in understanding your unique experience and creating a space where you feel genuinely heard and accepted.

As well as professional qualifications, I have lived experience of my own neurodivergence and supporting neurodivergence in my loved ones.

Sessions can place online where I can offer a choice of platform from Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and doxy; or over the phone via Whatsapp voice call. From April 2026 I will be able to see you in-person in my Chester city centre office.

I can offer weekly or fortnightly sessions. Sessions are 50 to 60 minutes long and cost £55.

Starting counselling can feel daunting. The key to successful therapy is finding the right fit, so I offer a free 20-minute call to explore your needs and see if we’re a good match.
