Bexley branch
The service offers a variety of social and leisure activities for autistic children.
Main information
Type of service: Local groups, Play and leisure
The service offers a variety of social and leisure activities for autistic children and their families living within the London Borough of Bexley. The Bexley National Autistic Society (NAS) branch benefits from having its own cinema screenings once a month, where older films suitable for children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and those with a learning disability are shown. Members can enjoy exclusive inflatable swimming and flumes sessions suitable for the whole family to have fun. Other activities include soft play sessions, family fun days, and family discos, and "Make and Bake" sessions. The branch also has monthly weekly monthly coffee morning during term time - an opportunity for parents/carers to get together and share experiences/difficulties. There is the opportunity to speak with one of the committee volunteers at these sessions. Once a year the branch holds a Christmas party for children and families.
