Dr Chris Papadopoulos

Dr Chris Papadopoulos is the CEO of the London Autism Group Charity and an academic specialising in autism, neurodiversity, mental health and stigma. He founded the London Autism Group Charity in 2017 to promote inclusion, challenge stigma and create innovative community-based mental health support for autistic people and their families.
Chris is the author of Voices of neurodiversity: an inclusive encyclopaedia (Routledge, 2025), the first A–Z reference work on neurodiversity shaped by lived experience. His research and public engagement work focus on how societal stigma impacts autistic people’s wellbeing and how technologies, including AI and robotics, can be harnessed ethically to improve quality of life. He is regularly invited to speak on these topics at national and international conferences. He appears frequently in media discussions on autism and public health.
