Garden of Eadon Therapy – Autism & Child Psychotherapy

Main information

Service categories: Counselling and therapies, Information, advice and advocacy, Support groups, social programs and branches

Garden of Eadon Therapy offers psychotherapy and support for autistic and neurodivergent children, young people and their families, alongside parent consultations and work with schools.

I am Alexander Gray, a UKCP-accredited Child Psychotherapist (CCAP), Registered Member of BACP and former CAMHS clinician. My approach is transpersonal and integrative, combining talking therapy with creative approaches including play, art, imagery and sandplay.

I work with children and young people experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, school avoidance, difficulties with relationships, identity and self-esteem, as well as those exploring what an autism or ADHD diagnosis may mean for them.

My work extends beyond the individual child to consider their family, school and wider environment.

Child and adolescent psychotherapy

Individual therapy adapted to the young person's developmental, emotional, communication and sensory needs. Sessions may involve talking, play, art, games or sandplay, depending on the young person.

Parent consultations and family support

A space for parents to explore their child's behaviour, emotional wellbeing, neurodivergence and relationships, whether or not their child is attending therapy.

Consultations can help parents make sense of what may be happening beneath behaviour and consider different ways of responding to and supporting their child.

School liaison and support

I work with schools and families to support children experiencing difficulties in education, including anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance and challenges associated with neurodivergence.

This may involve liaison with school staff, parent consultations, reflective practice for teachers and discussions with senior leadership teams around emotional wellbeing.

National Autistic Society Teen Life

I hold a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF) and am licensed by the National Autistic Society to deliver Teen Life for parents of autistic teenagers.

This programme is offered separately from individual psychotherapy and parent consultations.

Accessing support

Services are available privately in Twickenham, online and, where arranged, within schools.

Parents are welcome to arrange an introductory conversation to discuss their child's needs and explore which form of support may be appropriate.
