  • NICE compliant Autism assessments for children and adults that are accepted by NHS services, local authorities and schools. Assessments are experience-sensitive with adjustments made to suit each person's preferences and needs. All assessments are led by Dr Duncan Harris a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.

  • Compliance with best practice clinical guidelines (NICE guidelines for autism assessments).
  • The use of gold standard assessments (for example the ADOS-2 and ADI-R interview) alongside a flexible approach to assessment to ensure the person is able to share all they want to about their experiences in life, including the coping strategies or habits they have used to navigate situations and places (for example, masking/social camouflaging and/or persistent drive for autonomy/pathological demand avoidance presentations).
  • A team approach to assessments, with an appropriately qualified and experienced team formed that is relevant to the individuals needs, for example, involving a speech and language therapist if the person has speech and language differences.
  • Assessments offered to individuals funding their own assessments as well as those who have received grants or funding, for example, through their employers, places of education or the family courts.

Other specialisms: Dr Duncan Harris (Consultant Clinical Psychologist) is also an expert witness for the family courts. As such, diagnostic assessments for autism, ADHD and intellectual differences are able to be completed for children and adults who may have other areas of complex needs such as responses to trauma and adverse life events.
