Welcome to Autism Unpicked®. We offer private, multidisciplinary child and adult Autism and ADHD assessments in Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley and Derbyshire and further afield for people aged 6+ years as well as combined Autism and ADHD assessments. Assessments for children are in person but adults can be seen online if appropriate.

We are a team of specialist qualified clinicians experienced and trained in assessing children and young people for Autism and ADHD and have significant experience in NHS and private teams. We have specialist experience in understanding women and girls alongside all genders and have conducted research and lecture and speak at conferences in these areas. The team are registered with the health and care regulator, The Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). We aim to ‘unpick’ what is happening for people and make sense of their needs. This may include making a diagnosis. We work in a person-centred, collaborative way meaning the needs of the child or young adult and their family are our priority.

We are a specialist team with significant experience who understand the range of ways Autism and ADHD may present including more subtly (e.g., we see this sometimes in women and girls). If the child or adult does receive a diagnosis, this relates to how the brain has developed and is lifelong. We aim to offer a clear understanding of Autism and/or ADHD for the child or adult and/or their family and what it means for them. This includes a balance of focusing on strengths and skills and considering the things they may find hard to offer the most supportive recommendations.

We are able to offer post-diagnostic support on a case by case basis if this is something you want or need. We also offer training packages and one-off consultations to schools, workplaces and businesses.
