Phil Wroe

Phil is an experienced trainer and Autistic Consultant. She runs her own business, Squarepeg SEN, which provides support and education for neurodivergent people.
Phil has a Postgraduate Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties and is a qualified dyslexia assessor and specialist teacher. She has 25 years of teaching experience, working with children in both mainstream schools and Pupil Referral Units. Phil believes that relationship is at the core of supporting every learner, and she employs a holistic, trauma-sensitive approach to working with children and young people.
Phil has spent 15 years writing and delivering bespoke training for schools. She is also a contractor as a content writer, trainer and consultant for a number of charities. Alongside this, she creates and carries out individualised learning programmes for neurodivergent children and children who are in Local Authority Care.
Phil was diagnosed autistic at the age of 43. By that point in her, life Phil had spent 30 years in and out of counselling, CBT and psychodynamic therapy, alongside several inpatient stays in an Eating Disorders Unit. She has also experienced complex trauma and draws on her life experiences to deliver an insightful and powerful training experience.
