Alex the OT at Navigate Neurodiversity Occupational Therapy delivers one-to-one, personalised Occupational Therapy for diagnosed and self-diagnosed/self-identified neurodivergent adults across the UK. Therapy services are currently exclusively offered online via video call.
Hello I'm, Alex, a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist who is passionate about using my occupational therapy knowledge, coupled with my lived experience of being neurodivergent, to help other adults work towards their goals and live happier lives. Navigate Neurodiversity Occupational Therapy utilises a neurodiversity-affirming approach. This means that I believe in a strength-based approach and provide support to affirm your neurodivergent identity rather than believing that you need to be 'fixed'.
Examples of areas in which I can support you: Fatigue, Understanding and processing your diagnosis/self-diagnosis, Work & university accommodations and reasonable adjustment advice, Organisation, time management etc. Guided self-screenings to help you understand yourself (I do not diagnose) -Emotions, burnout and meltdowns -Understanding and supporting your sensory needs ...and more
I also provide access-to-work funded sessions. If you have been given a grant for ADHD coaching, support worker, support strategies etc (they call it many different names!) you can choose a provider of your choice, including myself.
