Dr Alice Nicholls
Dr Alice Nicholls is an autistic Clinical Psychologist. A graduate of Leicester University, they left the NHS in 2017 and set up in private practice. Alice had significant mental health problems as a teenager and young adult. These were not well understood until she was diagnosed as autistic in 2020 and learned about autistic burnout.
Since their diagnosis, Alice has specialised in helping other people to recover from, and prevent, autistic burnout. Initially Alice worked on a one-to-one basis, but due to a limited capacity and huge unmet need in the autistic community, they have developed an online course, membership and small group coaching programme. They also share free resources via their website and mailing list. Alice lives in Kent with their partner and three young children; she enjoys karate, gardening, crochet and playing chess.
