"My local National Autistic Society branch feels like a second home. It’s the lifeline that families like mine need this Christmas.”
84% of autistic people and their families feel misunderstood by others.
We won’t stop until every autistic person has access to a space where they feel understood and can be themselves.
Mandy felt alone when beginning the journey to diagnosis of her children’s autism. There were not enough support groups in her local area that both Zara and Ethan could attend. That’s when Mandy found the National Autistic Society and everything changed.
With help and support from us, Mandy set up a local branch for autistic people and their families.
Now, Mandy has a team that feels like an extended family and a space her children can call their second home.
You can help us to make sure our local branches continue to be a safe haven for so many families across the UK.
We know that the current financial climate and rising costs are presenting challenges for many families and individuals across the country right now. Whatever you are able to spare will make a difference to our campaign and the people we support, like Mandy and her family.
Will you give a gift this Christmas to make sure autistic adults, children and their families have somewhere to turn to?
How your donation helps
£15
could be put towards ensuring a local branch is there for autistic children and their families to turn to when they need us most.
£30
could help fund our dedicated Branch Engagement Officers, who provide vital support and guidance to our branch volunteers.
£50
could go towards a year’s running costs for one of our 116 local branches, supporting autistic people to overcome loneliness and isolation.
“I want to continue volunteering at my local National Autistic Society branch so that other families can belong to a supportive and life-changing group.”
