Leeds Autism Family Support work with families of young children aged 2-11 who are non-verbal or have speech and communication difficulties. We work with parents and caregivers in their own homes to teach children an alternative way to communicate their wants and needs using visual communication resources. This includes implementing an evidence-based picture exchange communication system (PECS®).

Further important expressive and receptive communication skills can also be taught including how to indicate yes and no, how to request help and how to wait. We are also about to launch a new Autism and SEN babysitting service to local families in Leeds and nearby surrounding areas.
