Have you recently received an autism diagnosis and are wondering "What next?" or "What does it all mean?".
Are you struggling to accept this new diagnosis or wondering how it will be helpful going forwards?
Are you looking for additional mental health support? Are you struggling with autistic burnout?
Have you been diagnosed with ADHD as well as autism? Are you curious about navigating your next steps or wondering how to best support yourself?
Would it be helpful for your family or loved ones to better understand your autism needs?
Dr Antonella Brunetti offers a neuro-affirming* approach to supporting autistic people age 17+ (and those that care about them) after they have received their autism diagnosis.
Her approach is to support the client in understanding their own unique autistic profile of needs in which to navigate autistic well-being. Antonella is sensitive to autistic culture and the inner/ lived experience of the autistic person. Your life DOESN'T need to 'look' like everyone else's but it DOES need to be right for you.
*A neuro-affirming approach means supporting clients in learning to accept and value their neurodivergence, not seeing it through a 'medical' lens of 'deficit' or 'disorder'. Antonella encourages clients to actively value (and take care of) their lovely uniqueness in supporting their emotional health and ability to function well in the world, growing their 'Healthy Autistic Adult'.
Her therapy sessions are not just 'talking' but a structured approach to building awareness, skills and learning. She is able to modify how information is shared in a way that helps you learn best.
Antonella also offers Schema Therapy modified for autistic adults in order to address any complex trauma (cPTSD) the person may be struggling with.
As an Advanced Accredited Schema Therapist & Supervisor she also supports allied professionals in shaping their clinical practice towards a neuro-affirmative way of working.
