Our school policies

Our policies and procedures set out how we work with you and your child.

Policies & Procedures

Our mission, vision and values

An ambitious school for autistic children.

Mission

We recognise and build your child’s strengths, teaching them learning skills that they can build on throughout their education and beyond.

Vision

We believe that every autistic child should have the same, or better opportunities to learn as other children.

Values

Our school is a place where all people are respected, are empowered to make positive choices about their own lives, and have rich and varied experiences.

Our admissions process

Step one

If you are interested in your child attending Church Lawton School, the first stage is to contact your local authority and indicate your preferences for Church Lawton School.

Step two

All students must have an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP, formerly a Statement of Special Educational Needs) that refers to a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Step three

If you are working with a child for whom Church Lawton School might be suitable, we recommend that you contact us for an initial conversation about the child’s needs and the services we offer.
