Matt Richardson and audience at comedy night event

On Monday 12 November, stand-up comedian and our ambassador, Matt Richardson hosted the Matt and Co Comedy show to raise laughs and money for our charity. The show featured an all-star line-up with Russell Howard, Iain Stirling, Joe Wilkinson, Ken Cheng, Adam Hess, Evelyn Mok and Phil Ellis as well as our wonderful audience of comedy fans, National Autistic Society supporters and even Niall from Love Island. Many belly laughs were had.

Matt’s fundraising for our charity was inspired by his brother, and fellow ambassador, Alex

"I’m so proud of what Alex has achieved, he’s creative and ambitious and illustrates what can be achieved by autistic people when those around them understand autism and support them in the right way. There are about 700, 000 autistic people in the UK and I hope that by sharing my personal experiences of autism and raising funds for the charity, I might be able to change a few attitudes so more autistic people get the support and understanding they deserve." - Matt

As well as raising huge laughs, Matt also raised an incredible £16,620! A huge thank you to Matt and everyone who supported the show. If you’d like to be the first to hear about next year’s show, do get in touch!
